Captivating Unveiling The Mystery Of A Womans Soul by John and Stasi Eldredge
I liked this book instantly because it was like sitting down with someone and just talking. It really held my attention from the very beginning and when I got to Chapter 4 Wounded it awoke something within me. Speaking to my heart and soul on the very things that not only affects me but other women as well. Questions asked were am I lovely or captivating? This is where we girls look toward our daddies, fathers, male role models to help us figure it out. Mostly towards the ones who raised us. They are the ones who treat us like princesses or kittens. Our protectors, providers and nurturers. The ones we feel safest with. This part really made me stop and look at my own daughters and her fathers relationship which is so very strained. Then it made me look at my own as well. I could see how the pieces fit together so perfectly. As I strive to be not just a mother to my 3 kids but the father and role model as well. Not an easy task. I gained alot of insight with this book, it made me sit and contemplate things. I can see the pain in my daughters face and heart with her relationship with her father. Lots of pain from divorce and how it can upset our trust in others and with others. It can make us scared to let any one especially men into our true heart and soul. And theres only one man to fix that hole left by absent or disconnected parents which would be Jesus and God. I would like to Thank BookSneeze for sending me this book free of charge and allowing me to voice my thoughts and opinions of this book. Thanks so much guys!
